You're Never Too Old to Play!

In honor of "Older Americans Month," special events for seniors will be held throughout Allegheny County.

May is “Older Americans Month” in Allegheny County, and six special events to celebrate and show appreciation for older adults in our community will be held throughout the area—the first is in Brookline!

“Older Americans Month was first proclaimed by President John F. Kennedy in 1963, and we are proud to continue the tradition of acknowledging and honoring the contributions of older adults in Allegheny County,” said Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald. “The theme for Older Americans Month 2012 is ‘Never Too Old to Play,’ and we have a number of fun and engaging events planned for our older residents.”

Salute to the Oldies—Sunday, May 6, from 1 to 3 p.m.

  • Musical entertainment featuring Cher, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra impersonators
