Weekend Food Tour Focuses on Dormont, Brookline

The Burgh Bits and Bites Food Tour is making stops in both communities this weekend.

A Pittsburgh food tour is making stops in both Dormont and Brookline this Saturday, Dec. 8.

The 'Burgh Bits and Bites Food Tour will take a tour of various Brookline Boulevard eateries at 10:30 a.m., and at 1 p.m. a second tour will explore the restaurants and food stops along Potomac Avenue, in Dormont's business district.

Founder Sylvia McCoy started the ‘Burgh Bits and Bites Food Tour in 2008. The video, above, focuses on a tour of the Strip District, where the program began.

Since then, the tour has expanded to a number to Pittsburgh neighborhoods, including Brookline, Dormont, Mt. Washington and Lawrenceville.
