The Brookline Chamber of Commerce, and the staff of The Brookline newsletter notified Dormont-Brookline Patch that street lights on the business side of Brookline Boulevard will be turned off today, Monday, March 25 as construction continues.
This will effect street lights from Pioneer Avenue to Stebbins Street, and will only effect the business side of the Boulevard. Lights on the residential side will remain lit.
The outage will be in preparation for installation of new street lights early this summer.
City of Pittsburgh inspectors will be on the Boulevard Monday evening to ensure that the Boulevard is sufficiently lit and that the outage does not threaten the safety of the Brookline community.
