Second Meeting to Bring Brookliners Together for Community's Future

The second public meeting to discuss the future and identity of Brookline is scheduled for July 25.

The second pubic meeting to discuss Brookline's future is Thursday, July 25 and, as always, all community members are welcome.

It's the second in a series of three public meetings, open to those who live and work in Brookline, to discuss Brookline's identity and ideas for improving and promoting the community in the future.

At the first meeting in June, residents and business owners broke into groups and talked about mapping and streetscape designs while sharing stories about Brookline. Click here to read about the discussion at that meeting.

Since then, OurBrookline.com was launched to keep the conversation going. The website is another step in recent efforts to revitalize Brookline Boulevard and the rest of the community, and is a place where Brookliners can talk publicly about the future and identity of their community outside of a formal meeting.

The July 25 meeting and the third meeting—tentatively scheduled for Sept. 12—will focus on recommending specific projects or action plans for the community and detailing how to make them happen.

Thursday's meeting starts at 7 p.m. and will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church on Brookline Boulevard.
