Salvation Army Offers Program for KO Students

The Salvation Army Community Center on McNeilly Road is offering after-school programs for Keystone Oaks students.

The Salvation Army’s Community Center on McNeilly Road is offering a variety of services for Keystone Oaks students, including an after-school tutoring and mentoring program, access to a computer lab, Wii gaming stations, and to the “Steelers Fitness Center,” which features fitness equipment for youth and adults. The gymnasium, basketball court, shuffleboard and walking track also will be open.

A children’s outreach and character building program, as well as drama, dance and specialized fitness classes, will be available soon.

The after-school services are free, and are available Monday through Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m.

Students must be registered with the center to take advantage of the programs. Meetings with the Salvation Army staff, tours of the facility and registration paperwork are available at the Salvation Army center at 1060 McNeilly Road during regular office hours, or during an open house.
