Roadwork on Route 51, Route 88 and Provost Road to Start in January

Short-term lane closures will start on Monday night and go through mid-March.

Short-term lane closures around the popular Route 51-Route 88 intersection in Pittsburgh's Overbrook neighborhood will start on Monday night, Jan. 16, and last through mid-March, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation District 11-0.

Crews will be performing research operations needed for utility location verification as part of a future improvement project at that intersection between Saint Norberts Street and Stewart Avenue on the border of Whitehall Borough.

Restrictions will occur nightly as needed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Work will also occur during the day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., but that work will not impact traffic.
