Patch Poll: What's your favorite Girl Scout cookie?

Girl Scouts are now taking orders for your favorite cookies and some new varieties.

Rejoice! It's Girl Scout cookie season!

What will you be ordering? Thin Mints? Samoas? Tagalongs?

Girl Scouts began taking orders on Friday, with orders to be delivered Feb. 16 thorugh Feb. 23.

Price per box will be $4, with the girls receiving 70 cents to 80 cents for every box of cookies sold. They can use the money toward camp registrations, membership dues, program costs and Girl Scout merchandise. 

Cookie options for in our area include the classics: the shortbread Trefoils, the oatmeal and peanut butter Do-Si-Dos, the vanilla-caramel-coconut-chocolate Samoas, peppermint and chococlate Thin Mints, the peanut butter-covered-in-chocolate Tagalongs and Savannah Smiles—a bite-sized, lemon-wedge cookie created this year in honor of Girl Scouts' 100th year.

Other options are a cranberry and white fudge chip Thank U Berry Munch and a milk caramel Dulce de Leche.

They are baked exclusively for the Girl Scouts by ABC Bakers / Interbake Foods LLC, a Richmond, VA-based manufacturer, and Little Brownie BakersFind a listing of ingredients and nutrient information for each of the cookies here.
