Patch Poll: How Are the Roads in Brookline?

Potholes have long been a problem on Brookline roads, but they seem to only be getting worse. What do you think?

It's no secret that there's a pothole or two—or 20—dotting Brookline Boulevard and other streets in the neighborhood.

But it's really starting to be a problem, and residents want something to be done about it, according to a WPXI report.

Residents complained about the number of potholes in the roads, the damage they can cause to cars and the danger they pose, both to drivers and to those walking.

Something needs done on McNeilly... the whole road is absolutely ridiculous, as the main "shortcut" down to 88 then 51, it ought to be taken care of.

McNeilly Road is horrible. But it is also a bureaucratic nightmare as the portion that is the worst (Pioneer to Midland) is split right down the middle between Dormont Borough and The City of Pittsburgh. Where it intersects with Midland you add Mount Lebanon to the mix.....Crazy. Good news/bad news though is that if you pave it cars will go even faster than they do now. Quite a conundrum.

drew your right but it really needs fixed it would be nice if all three, city, dormont, mt lebo got together one night and just fixed it all at once . close the street completely from like 10pm till like 7am and just get it done. with each taking a third of the work. makes to much sence to me. than you sit a police officer there and you probley get a salery paid by the tickets they write alone. im jusdt saying it does really need fixed.

It's horrible all the way to Pierce on both sides. There is really no reason for it.

I noticed a few weeks ago that driving on Brookline Boulevard is sort of like driving over the moon's craters...that's already a tricky stretch to navigate, and the potholes make it a real test.
