Overdue Library Books Returned to Dormont After 88 Years

A man bringing books to Dormont Historical Society had no idea he was returning library books.

A man bringing a box of books to has no idea he was returning long-overdue library books—88 years overdue, to be exact.

According to a report from CBS Pittsburgh, Paul Kaminski, who was raised in Dormont, drove the books back to Dormont from Arizona, where a cousin had been keeping them.

A look through the box revealed books that should have been returned to the Dormont school library—formerly located in the , where the Historical Society is housed—in 1924.

The Dormont Historical Society added the books to their extensive collection of Dormont memorabilia. The Dormont Historical Society is open to the public Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
