More Than $1,500 Raised in Memory of Teachers

In a charity volleyball game Monday, Keystone Oaks teachers raised money for a scholarship fund named after two teachers who died last year.

With the memory of two beloved teachers in mind, Keystone Oaks teachers and staff played a charity volleyball game Monday to raise money for a scholarship fund.

The game raised more than $1,500 for the David Armitage & Shawn O'Donnell Future Teacher Scholarship Fund.

Competition was tough, but friendly, and Team O'Donnell won the match in four games: 25-12, 25-9, 23-25 and 25-17.

Previously called the Future Teacher Scholarship, the fund was renamed by the Keystone Oaks Education Association to honor the two teachers. Now in its eighth year, the fund has raised more than $12,000 for Keystone Oaks High School graduates who pursue careers in education.
