Do you have an Elf on the Shelf? Leave cookies for Santa? Host the family for dinner? Go to a midnight church service?
For us, it was hosting the family on Christmas Eve, going to a late church service, and then picking one present to open before bed.

When my mom was little, their tradition was that Santa brought the tree on Christmas Eve after she and her sister went to sleep. This, of course, meant that her parents were frantically (but quietly!) wrestling with Christmas lights and sweeping up pine needles in the middle of the night. I understand why this tradition didn’t carry over into our house…
