Have You Seen This Dog?

Lucky has been missing from his Dormont home since last Monday.

A resident is seeking help to locate a pet that has been missing for a week.

Lucky, a 20-pound, black and white Boston Terrier, ran away from his Glenmore Avenue home on Monday, Feb. 20, and his owners have been searching with no luck.

Owner Holly Nesbitt said Lucky is a friendly dog, and she worries that someone might take him in, thinking he is a stray. He does not have a microchip and was not wearing a collar.

Lucky had been a birthday gift to Nesbitt’s daughter, and Nesbitt said she thinks he must have left the house through an open door.

“He is a very cherished member of our family,” she said. “Just a great, friendly little dog, so he would have gone up to any stranger on the street and happily walked with them.”

Nesbitt said her family has posted signs, contacted animal control, the Dormont police, and local animal shelters and veterinarians, but don’t have any word on Lucky’s whereabouts yet.

“He is very missed,” Nesbitt said. “He’s a very sweet dog.”
