Dormont Volunteer Fire Department has a new way of keeping the public informed and safe.
The fire department launched its first website in April, and updates it with valuable safety and community information.
The site includes the department's history, member and equipment information, as well as fire safety and prevention information, and tips about smoke detectors and fire place inspections. It also includes child safety seat installation instructions, and a page just for kids.
The department also has a new Facebook page where members post details of calls and incidents the department responds to, articles, photos and information about fundraising events.
