We've assembled a weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities and new places to try out with children. 

Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.

You're time-pressed enough, so we're happy to do the research and find the best things to do and places to go, both locally and within reasonable striking distance.

This week, go shopping at a re-sale event or do a yoga and craft! Here are all the details as well as three other of our top family-friendly event suggestions for this weekend and the upcoming week.

On the third Thursday of each month, the Church, Troop 23 and Pack 870 invite the community to get together for a NO COST meal! Come meet your neighbors.

This is an "upscale" all-you-can-eat pasta dinner benefitting Pitcher Park Memorial Skatepark. This project is meant to help keep the children, teens and young adults off the streets in South Hills.

When: 9:45 to 11 a.m. Saturday

This program, for ages 4 through 8, uses storytelling, simple yoga, creative art and music to help your child develop focus and attention.
