Get Out Weekend Planner: Swimming, Flea Market and Ballet

Our top picks for this weekend!

Welcome to the new and improved Get Out Weekend Planner! We recently combined the Grab & Go Kids Planner with Get Out for a one-stop shop for fun weekend planning!

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.
Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check out our top picks for this weekend to find something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

Where?/When?: , Thursday, 10-10:45 a.m.
Why Go?: The Allegheny County Parks Department is offering free swimming lessons at the Settler's Cabin Park swimming pool. Participants must be five years of age or older. Classes for individuals with last names beginning with "A" through "K" are held on Tuesdays and classes for individuals with last names beginning with "L" through "Z" are held on Thursdays!
Pricing: FREE.

Where/When: Dormont Borough Recreation Center, Thursday, 7-8 p.m.
Why Go: Take this fantastic total body workout each Monday and Thursday. The workout includes Pilates, upper body strengthening and lower body toning. First class is free and you can join anytime!
Pricing: 1 free class anytime, $88 for the full session, new students pay $68 for both months!

Where/When: , Thursday, 7 p.m.
Why Go: Join this Latin-infused fitness class that will have you moving and shaking the pounds away! The class takes place in the Municipal Center Gym. Register at the Dormont Main Offices or at your first class.
Pricing: 1/wk: $40 Resident, $45 Non-resident; 2/wk: $65 Resident, $70 Non-Resident; 3/wk: $90 Resident, $95 Non-resident.

Why Go?: Dooby Dooby Moo is based on the book by Doreen Cronin. The show features a Talent Show at the County Fair with farm animals. Everyone in the family will enjoy this "mooooosical!"

Why Go?: Come cheer on Pittsburgh’s professional soccer team! The Pittsburgh Riverhounds will play against FC New York.

Why Go?: Come join the festival with your neighbors. We will have food and flea market items for sale as well as musical entertainment.

Where?/When?: Lowe’s in Carnegie, Saturday, 10-11 a.m.
Why Go?: Ages 3 and up will create this Tow Truck kit that comes with stickers a working tow hook.
Pricing: FREE.

Where?/When?: Michaels in Bethel Park,Saturday, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Why Go?: Ages 3 and up will create projects that reflect India's colorful culture. Projects include a creative henna hand and craft elephant.
Pricing: FREE with the purchase of supplies.

Where?/When?:  /Sunday, July 10, 12-3 p.m.
Why Go?: The Little Lake's Looking Glass Theatre will celebrate their 40th birthday with the community. The party includes face-painting, cookie-decoration, sing-a-longs and more! !

Where?/When?: The Pilates Center of Pittsburgh, Suite 215, Sunday, 1-2 p.m.
Why Go?: This fun class/workshop will guide you through a sequence of exercises from ballet and yoga. The class is taught by guest trainer Anna Carapelloti. An advanced practitioner of Bikram Yoga, Anna is the 2010 Pennsylvania Yoga Asana champion, she also competed in the nationals in LA this year. Register online now!
