Get Out Weekend Planner: Minnie Mouse, Comedy Dinner Show and a Pot Luck!

Here are our top eight picks for weekend fun!

Welcome to the new and improved Get Out Weekend Planner! We recently combined the Grab & Go Kids Planner with Get Out for a one-stop shop for fun weekend planning!

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.

Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check out our top picks for this weekend to find something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

Where/When: , Friday, 7 - 8 p.m.
Why Go: Wow your friends with the skills you learn at this workshop! Learn how to put on a performance that features the art of escaping. All materials will be provided.
Pricing: $20

Where/When: Dormont area, Saturday, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Why Go: The boys of Cub Scout Pack 870 in Dormont in association with Boy Scout Troop 23 will be collecting food to help the hungry in our community.  All food collected will be brought to Brookline Food Pantry. The Cub Scouts will be placing plastic bags on doors across Dormont. The Scouts will return next Saturday to collect the donations. Be sure to look for the bag on your door this weekend!

Where/When: South Hills Village: Lower Lever North Court, Saturday, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Why Go: Radio Disney and Disney Junior is hosting a celebration for the upcoming debut of Minnie's Masquerade on Disney Channel. Kids will be able to make a crown or mask and play theme games with the Disney Road Crew!
Pricing: Free with Simon Kidgits Club Membership ($5 annual fee/child)

Where/When: South Hills Village: Yankee Candle, Saturday, 12 - 3 p.m.
Why Go?: Come sample local treats that taste like our amazing candles smell! Treats provided by The Pie Place, Godiva Chocolatier, , Chick-Fil-A and Signature Desserts (while supplies last)!

Where/When: South Park BMX Track, Monday - Saturday: 1 - 5 p.m.
Why Go?: The South Park BMX track is having an open house for anyone who enjoys to ride their bike. Bring a bike, a close face helmet, long sleeve shirt and long pants. There will be loaner bikes and helmets available at the track. Any child under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Free hot dogs will be served from 1 - 3 p.m. while they last. The first BMX race of the season will start at 7 p.m.

Where/When: , Saturday, 7 p.m.
Why Go?: For the laughter and a great meal! Dinner starts at 7 p.m. and the Comedy starts at 9 p.m.! The show features Lisa Daprich of NBC's Date Night, Chis Kemp "Pgh's Golden Girl" and Matt Wolford of Brookline. Make your reservations today!
Pricing: $25.99 per person (includes dinner)

Where/When: South Hills Village, Sunday, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Why Go?: Bring your furry little family member to the Lower Level, North Court to take a picture with the Easter Bunny! Please enter the mall through Lower Lever Entrance B located on the Route 19 side of the mall. All animals must be on a leash or in a carrier.
Pricing: Digital Photo Packages will be available for purchase.

Where/When: , Sunday, 5 - 10 p.m.
Why Go?: Cannon Coffee is hosting it's first absolutely free pot-luck and jam.  This week is a Mexican cuisine theme, so stop in to Las Palmas on the Blvd and see what you can come up with.  Bring a guitar or borrow ours.  No musical talent required! All are welcome!
