Get Out: Weekend Planner

Here are five events to check out this weekend.

1.
Where?/When?: , 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday
Why Go?: St. Catherine of Siena in Beechview will hold a fish fry Fridays from Feb. 24 to March 30. Menu items include fried fish, baked fish, crab cakes, shrimp and much more.
Pricing: Dinners range from $9 to $9.25.  

2.
Where?/When?: 1403 McFarland Road, 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday
Why Go?: Local organizing company is holding a garage sale on Saturday, March 24 from 7 a.m. until noon. They helped their clients get organized and now all of that extra "stuff" is for sale! The garage sale will be held at 1403 McFarland Road, between Mt. Lebanon & Dormont. Look for the large brick garage sitting back off of the road. They have a variety of items for sale including electronics, household items, golf clubs, tires, and much more!

3.
Where/When: , 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Pack 870 celebrates Scouting Anniversary Week in March with a "birthday party" called the blue and gold banquet. In Pack 870, the blue and gold banquet is the highlight of the year. It brings families together for an evening of fun and cheer. It's the pack meeting for March. The purpose of the blue and gold banquet is to celebrate the pack's anniversary, thank pack leaders and other adults who have helped the pack, and inspire the leaders, Scouts, and parents.
Pricing: $8 per adult and $5 per child.

Where?/When?: , 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
Why Go?: Experience the healing vibrational tones of the crystal singing bowls, made of quartz crystal which send out an orchestra of harmonious sound that moves through you at a cellular level, aiding in healing on many levels.

Where?/When?: at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Why Go?: Come to Eljay's to enjoy the poetry of local poets Angele Ellis, Bob Walicki and Sheila Kelly. This FREE reading is brought to you by the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council. In addition to the poetry readings (which will knock your socks off!), learn about the amazing work in the community that the Literacy Council does and how you can become involved. Enjoy refreshments and conversation with the poets and folks from the Literacy Council.
