Drum Circle, Fashion Show and Fish Frys This Weekend

Check out the top five weekend events in today's Weekend Planner.

1.
Where?/When?: , 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday.
Why Go?: Stop by Sterling Yoga for a drum circle with Rich. Extra drums will be available.  
Pricing: $15 suggested donation.

2.
Where?/When?: 500 First Ave, Pittsburgh PA, 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Why Go?: Spend the day learning about various career opportunities plus a continental breakfast and lunch at the PNC First Side Center. The event will feature workshops, speakers, boutique, meet employees and more. Also, Jacqueline’s Salon will present the Pamper Room which includes how to’s on hair, makeup, skincare, nails and fashion.
Pricing: $5.

Where/When: St. Winifred Parish's Benedict Hall, 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday.
Why Go?: St. Winifred in Mount Lebanon will host a fish fry in Benedict Hall. Menu items include fried fish, baked fish, shrimp, crab cakes, pizza, clam chowder, french fries, onion rings, cole slaw, macaroni and cheese and haluski. Takeout is available. Call 412-563-1415 to order.
Pricing: $6 to $8.50.

Where?/When?: DoubleTree Hotel, 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
Why Go?: Celebrating 75 years of improving the lives of women and girls in the community and everywhere, SI of Pittsburgh invites you to its annual Spring Benefit Luncheon and Fashion Show. All proceeds benefit organizations such as The Women's Center & Shelter, Bethlehem Haven, Womansplace, POWER, Gwen's Girls, and the VA. 75 years of fashions provided by the Point Park University Drama Department.
Pricing: $30.

5.
Where?/When?: St. Paul's Episcopal Church at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
Why Go?: St. Paul’s Chancel Choir will be joined with orchestra and the Slippery Rock University Choir under the direction of Dr. Stephen Barr in a performance of the magnificent Mozart Requiem. The Requiem is one of the most enigmatic pieces of music ever composed, mostly because of the myths and controversies surrounding it, especially around how much of the piece was completed by Mozart before his death.
