Welcome to the new and improved Get Out Weekend Planner! We recently combined the Grab & Go Kids Planner with Get Out for a one-stop shop for fun weekend planning!

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.
Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check out our top picks for this weekend to find something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

Where?/When?: , Thursday, 10-10:45 a.m.
Why Go?: The Allegheny County Parks Department is offering free swimming lessons at the Settler's Cabin Park swimming pool. Participants must be five years of age or older. Classes for individuals with last names beginning with "A" through "K" are held on Tuesdays and classes for individuals with last names beginning with "L" through "Z" are held on Thursdays!
Pricing: FREE.

Where/When: , Thursday, 11 a.m.
Why Go: Book a trip for world-wide fun with stories, rhymes and fingerplays. Recommended for children birth through age 3.
Pricing: FREE.

Where?/When?: South Park Theater, Thursday-Saturday, 8 p.m. and Sunday, 2 p.m.
Why Go?: South Park Theater presents "The Kitchen Witches." The play centers around two "mature" cable-access cooking show hostesses, who have hated each other for 30 years. The ladies come together on a TV show called The Kitchen Witches and the insults are flung harder than the food! The play is directed by Dek Ingraham.
Pricing: $12 Admission, $10/Subscribers, Group Rates: $2 off per person, for groups of 15 or more.

Why Go?: Angelsilks with Collen with wine, cheese & chocolates! Prices vary on projects, which include cards, bookmarks, bags and other goodies.

Where?/When?: Pottery Barn at the Galleria, Saturday, 10 a.m.

Why Go: Children ages 3 and older will love this kit! Bring your child in to build awesome binoculars.

Where?/When?: Michaels in Bethel Park, Saturday, 11 am - 2 p.m.
Why Go?: Ages 3 and up will experience Mexican heritage through craft. Participants will create their own Mexican sun and tissue paper flower while supplies last.
Pricing: FREE.

Where?/When?: , Saturday, 1:30 p.m.
Why Go?: The Rock-n-Hockey event features an ice hockey game at 1:30 p.m. where local police will play against celebrities and Pittsburgh Penguins alumni. At 4 p.m. there will be a Battle of the Bands rock concert with JINX, RPGS and 33 1/3. The event will be held at the . Proceeds will benefit two are police officers who received critical injuries in the line of duty. All proceeds from the event will benefit the families of Cranberry Police Corporal Dan Hahn, who was badly injured in pursuing a suspect on February 14, and Clairton police officer James Kuzak who received gunshot wounds on April 4 in response to a home invasion call. In addition to the entertainment, there will be prizes, food, skating, auctions and a 50/50 drawing. The public skate session will run from 4-6 p.m. and the picnic buffet will be served at at 4 p.m

Where?/When?: Molly Brannigans, Saturday, 9 p.m.
Why Go?: The Musician's for Dormont Pool event will feature two bands. All proceeds will benefit Friends of Dormont Pool, Inc. E-mail info@friendsofdormontpool.org for information and tickets.

Where?/When?: , Sunday, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Why Go?: All are invited to this exciting workout at Dormont Park with Sterling Yoga. There will be extra hula hoops for those without them.
