Get Out: Weekend Planner

Here are five events to check out this weekend.

1.
Where/When: Century III Mall, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday
Why Go?: Stop by the 2nd Annual "First Spring Day" Gift and Craft Expo for a little bit of shopping. It is the goal of Miller Promotions to create a "professional" event that is the perfect venue for an exhibitor that is developing their branding, packaging, and marketing plan for the products or services they are presenting. Our 16 years experience has helped many hobbyists turn their passion into a profitable business.

2.
Where?/When?: Downtown Pittsburgh, 10 a.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: The Pittsburgh St. Patrick's Day Parade will take place this weekend in downtown Pittsburgh. Click here for the parade route. This parade is the 2nd largest St. Patrick's Day Parade in the world. Pittsburgh's very large and active Irish community come together each year to produce a family oriented celebration of Ireland's patron Saint. For other events, click here.

3.
Where/When: Bower Hill Community Church, 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: This afternoon of tea and refreshments will include a raffle,  live music, fashion show by Pennystix, and a kid’s resale. All proceeds benefit an upcoming mission to Haiti to install solar water purification systems through “Living Waters for the World.” Call 412-561-4114 for ticket prices.

4.
Where?/When?: , 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: Community Meal held every third Thursday of the month. Come  enjoy a delicious meal and get to know your neighbors.  Children are welcome. There is no cost, but donations are accepted.

5.
Where?/When?: at 8 p.m. to midnight on Saturday
Why Go?: The Saint Patrick’s Day Party will benefit the Dormont Pool. This event is 21 and over.
