Welcome to the new and improved Get Out Weekend Planner! We recently combined the Grab & Go Kids Planner with Get Out for a one-stop shop for fun weekend planning!

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.

Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check out our top picks for this weekend to find something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

Where?/When?: Michaels in Bethel Park, Thursday, June 30, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Why Go?: Ages 3 and up will celebrate Canada with a moose and maple leaf craft while supplies last.

Where/When: , Thursday, 11 a.m.
Why Go: Book a trip for world-wide fun with stories, rhymes and fingerplays. Recommended for children birth through age 3.
Pricing: FREE.

Where/When: , Thursday, 2 p.m.
Why Go: Take a trip around the globe with some of your favorite film characters. All movies rated G or PG. Please call the Library for titles. Recommended for children entering grade K-5.

Where/When: The Pilates Center of Pittsburgh, Suite 215, Friday, 6 p.m.
Why Go?: On the first Friday of each month, the Pilates Center of Pittsburgh offers a Pilates Power Hour. This is a free class for beginning students.

Where?/When?: Bethel Park Home Depot, Saturday, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.  
Why Go?: Children ages 5 through 12 will make a coaster set at this hands-on workshop.

Where?/When?: Point State Park and the North Shore/Saturday, July 2 - Monday, July 4, for a full schedule of events, click here.
Why Go?: Take advantage of your Pittsburgh area residence and enjoy the largest inland regatta event in the United States. The event includes live music, boat races, fishing, kids zone, dragon boats, bike stunts and so much more! Beware of traffic on Saturday due to the Kenny Chesney concert at 4:30 p.m.

Why Go: Three Rivers Youth is a place for homeless or helpless teens to get clothes, food and more. This Saturday, Ashley will be at the library to give information on this important program.

Where/When: , Sunday, 6:30 p.m.
Why Go?: Come join in on the fun at the Municipal Center Gymnasium for some Salsa Dancing! This class is open to anyone--no partner necessary! For a schedule, click .

Where?/When?: /Sunday, July 3, 3 p.m.
Why Go?: Come cheer on Pittsburgh’s professional soccer team! The Pittsburgh Riverhounds will take on the Antigua Barracuda.
Pricing: $9 for adults, $6 for students.

Where?/When?: /Monday, July 4, 9 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Why Go?: Bring the whole family to the 98th Annual Dormont Day 4th of July Celebration! There will be activities and fun for all ages at Dormont Park. The days events include foot races, games, crafts, inflatable jumps, BINGO, food booths, all day long musical performances and more! The evening concludes with Zambelli Fireworks at dusk. Park at or School and ride the free shuttle bus down to the Dormont Pool Parking Lot.
