Here are 10 events happening in the Dormont-Brookline area this weekend.

Welcome to the new and improved Get Out Weekend Planner! We recently combined the Grab & Go Kids Planner with Get Out for a one-stop shop for fun weekend planning!

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.
Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check out our top picks for this weekend to find something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

Where/When: 5132 Friendship Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15224, Friday, 6:30 p.m.
Why Go?: Come learn about the co-housing community in Pittsburgh. The organization is creating a beautiful, green, intergenerational co-housing community in an existing Pittsburgh neighborhood, designed to be a model of environmental stewardship, strong neighborly relationships and community engagement. Where?/When?: St. Peter & St. Paul Hall, Friday to Saturday, 8 p.m.
Why Go?: Stage & Steel Productions presents End Game: The rolePLAY! After the loss of a friend, Fred, this group of gamers gather together in his memory. They find out that on his request they are to play a game that he had written for them after he was gone. The players grow and change throughout the game as their game characters live the story for the audience. The game was supposed to be finding a treasure, but leads to another quest, one that leads into danger and darkness. See the connections between the players and their characters, as they all pay homage to the passing of a friend. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.

Where?/When?: 292 Curry Hollow Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15236 (Old Value City Department Store), Saturday, 9 a.m.
Why Go?: This huge consignment sale will feature thousands of high-quality pieces including clothes, toys, strollers, shoes, books and more. The start time of the sale varies, so be sure to check the schedule online.

Where?/When?: , Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Why Go?: Come sample Bedner's homegrown, farm fresh veggies. You'll love these easy and healthy dishes that are prepared with the farm's seasonal produce and herbs. Recipes will be available to take home. The farm will post will be available to sample every Friday on the Taste of Bedner's Facebook page.

Where/When: South Park, Thursday, 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Why Go: Bring the whole family to South Park Township's "Stars and Stripes" Community Day. The event will commemorate the 10-year anniversary of 9/11.

Where/When: , Saturday, 12 to 6 p.m.
Why Go: Registration begins at 12 p.m. followed by practice time for all teams. Teams are made up of two people. There will be prizes for first, second and third place. This event is sponsored by Corona and Getaway Café. There will be Corona & Corona Light Bottle specials.

Where/When: South Park, Saturday and Sunday, 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Why Go?: The 8th Pennsylvania Regiment will set up camp at the Oliver Miller Homestead grounds and re-enact the day-to-day life of the Revolutionary War soldier. Young soldiers will be recruited and drilled.
Pricing: $2

Where?/When?: Pottery Barn at the Galleria, Saturday, 3 to 5 p.m.
Why Go?: Pottery Barn rolls out the red carpet for the anticipated Blu-ray release of the Star Wars saga. Dress up as your favorite character and bring your camera for a photo op, giveaways, and chance to win a Blu-ray box set.

Where?/When?: , Saturday, 5 to 8:30 p.m.
Why Go?: Come sip wines from PA wineries and breweries. There will be delicacies form local dining spots for guests to sample. The RJ Zimmerman Trio will also perform. Tickets are availale at the Dormont Public Library. Guests must be 21 or older. The proceeds benefit Dormont Main Street to support the Allegheny Together Program for Business District Revitalization.
Pricing: $25 donation, tickets are available at the Dormont Public Library.

Where/When: St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Saturday, 6 to 8 p.m.
Why Go?: St. Paul's Outreach Commission presents a Buy Fresh, Buy Local buffet dinner.  The event will raise funds for the rebuilding of the Episcopal cathedral in Port-au-Prince, Haiti as well as other local projects. The theme for the dinner will showcase local nutritious fresh foods in this harvest season and celebrate Pennsylvania's tradition of farming. The meal will feature many local products, including meats, vegetables and fruits. Tickets will be on sale Sept. 11 after church services, or in the church office weekdays.  
Pricing: $10 for adults and teens and $5 for children ages 5-12.
