Get Out: Jazz, Comedy Fundraiser and Summer Games

Here are five events to check out this weekend.

1.
Where/When: Allegheny County Courthouse, 12 p.m. on Friday.
Why Go: Allegheny County and BNY Mellon present CAPA Jazz Live at 12:00 noon on Friday, June 22, in the courtyard of the Allegheny County Courthouse in Downtown Pittsburgh. The free concert will celebrate more than 30 years of jazz at Pittsburgh’s School for the Creative and Performing Arts with past and present teachers, alumni and current students taking the stage together. The public is invited to come and enjoy the rich jazz legacy CAPA has created.

2.
Where?/When?: Diesel, 6 p.m. on Friday.
Why Go?: Live at Diesel in the Southside hosted by WDVE'S Randy Baumann with local celebrity judges and live music. All proceeds benefit the Gilda Club of Western PA. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 6:30 p.m. for a list of finalists.
Pricing: $10.

3.
Where/When: Salvation Army Community Center, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Why Go?: Whether you have a one year old or are approaching 100 years old, you're welcome to have a fun day of generation gap defying games, music, and food. Join the Chase Your Elders Fun Run/Walk at 8:45 a.m., try a Zumba or Tai Chi class, display your prowess at shooting basketball foul shots, wiffleball, horseshoes, badminton and more; or take part in Pittsburgh Wing and a Prayer Interplay Troupe's interactive storytelling. The $10/person or $25/family fee includes a donated lunch provided by Pittsburgh Barbecue Company, Mitchell's Fish Market, and Betsy's Ice Cream and a chance to win door prizes.

4.
Where?/When?: South Park, 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Why Go?: Pittsburgh 1st Congenital Heart Walk will be held at South Park. All are welcome to attend. Registration will be held at the PA Parcell and Ethelbert Shelters at 8:30 a.m. The race begins at 10 a.m. Tell your friends and family to get involved and help support the Adult Congenital Heart Association and the Children's Heart Foundation to continue to fight Congenital Heart Disease! 5.
Where?/When?: Dormont Memorial Stadium at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
Why Go?: The Dormont Junior Olympic events will be held at Dormont Stadium and once completed there, will continue at Dormont Pool. Participants will be admitted to the pool free of charge. Parents/Guardians and any other guests will be $3 per person to access the pool. A parent or guardian must accompany child/children.
Pricing: Free for participants, Parents/Guardians and any other guests will be $3 per person to access the pool.
