Geekadrome Makes Television Debut

Fans of Brookline's can look for their favorite store on television this month.

Geekadrome's first television commercial is scheduled to run on WPXI and WPMY My Pittsburgh TV.

The commerical will run mainly during Ring of Honor Wrestling, but also will run during the television shows "New Adventures of Old Christine" and "American Dad." It will continue to run from time to time throughout the year.

Geekadrome owner Paul Drabick said now is a great time for the commercial to run, because it could draw people into the store for several upcoming events.

The weekend of July 7 is a pre-release event for a —a customizable cardgame with a fantasy theme. On July 17, the store is hosting an event to celebrate the re-release of the First Edition Advanced Dungeons and Dragons books.

Drabick said he also hopes the commercial will increase traffic to the store on a daily basis.

"They come from all over," Drabick said. "I've even gotten people come in from West Virginia, but I'm hoping this will still maybe decrease the number of people who say 'Wow, I didn't know you guys were up here!'"
