Eat'n Park Wins 2011 Best Practice Award

The company was honored earlier this month.

People Report, a human resource analytics company, and sister company Black Box Intelligence of Lawrence honored Hospitality Group with a 2011 Best Practices Award during a national conference held in Dallas earlier this month.

Eat’n Park was one of only four companies across the country to receive the Best Practices Award, which is given annually to restaurants that show best-people practices in relation to turnover, hourly and management retention, workplace diversity and community engagement and corporate responsibility. The local Eat'n Park is at 2874 West Liberty Ave.

“At Eat’n Park, we believe that great guest service in our restaurants starts with creating an environment that values and engages our team members,” said Karen Bolden, senior vice president of Eat'n Park Hospitality Group. “By giving our team members the tools they need to be successful, we’re able to create a more positive work environment that benefits not only our team but our guests as well. Our turnover for both management and hourly is among the lowest in our industry segment and is reflective of our commitment to our team members and our culture.”

Other winners of the 2011 Best Practices Award were McDonald’s, Logan’s Roadhouse and The Cheesecake Factory. Winners are chosen from a field of more than 100 companies that track, analyze and benchmark human capital data with People Report.

In 2007, People Report recognized Eat’n Park Hospitality Group’s then-chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jim Broadhurst with the Legacy Award for his leadership and commitment to the hospitality industry.
