Dormont Boy Scouts Present Borough With New Flags, Poles

The flags will be displayed during holidays on Potomac and West Liberty avenues.

Dormont Boy Scout Troop 23 presented Dormont Council with 14 new U.S. flags and more than 30 new flag poles on Monday.

The flags replace worn out flags and will be flown on the five flag holidays: Memorial Day, July 4th, Flag Day, Labor Day and Veteran's Day.

The scouts maintain and replace the flags, which are displayed on Potomac and West Liberty avenues.

The scouts raised $1,845, thanks in part to the , Muriel Moreland and the Dormont Historical Society to buy the flags and poles.
