Voter ID

Why is there a problem with voter ID?

AJ’S CORNER

VOTER ID

Guess what happen to me the other day.  I went to a local grocery store, and I purchased some items.  No big deal, right.  But the cashier asked me for identification; photo!  I did not mind.  I showed her my driver’s license, and I was good to go.

Do you know if you go to a bank, even if you are a loyal, and faithful customer, and have tons of money with the bank; on certain dollar withdrawal amounts, and certain transactions, you need, yes you guess it, photo ID.

No matter where you go and what you do nowadays, some form of identification is required.

So what is the big problem with voting and the requirement of a photo ID??  The problem is the politicians have been using the voting rolls for such a long time in order to get what they want and to get whom they want elected, to now have the voting process “legitimatize” would be a “crime”.

I know when I enter the voting area I wonder about those who are voting; legal, illegal.  I have been personally questioned about my identity, even though I have ID, all kinds, and I know just about everyone in the voting area; I don’t know if that is good or bad, that is, knowing the folks??

Of course, groups such as the ACLU are protesting; why, do you know?  American Civil Liberties Union is not protecting my liberties, or should it be my civil rights, from being infringed upon by those you are NOT ELIGIBLE TO VOTE.   The name Civil Liberties is, in my opinion, a wrong name for the group.   Apparently, the organization is passing itself off as saving “liberties”.  So, America is thinking that the ACLU is protecting you and me.  The saving of “liberties” guarantees America’s safety.  But, what is really at stake here is your civil rights.  Your civil rights are your legal rights, laws guaranteed to you by the constitution; your civil liberties are your liberties, freedoms, against “unwarranted” governmental intrusions.

Think about it folks, ineligible voters voting, and INCORRECTLY, or should I say ILLEGALLY, swaying the electoral process.
