The Hidden Sequester

After a long sequester, the sequester is finally upon the American people.  By definition, a sequester means to hide away, isolate.  While the definition in government means a reduction in government spending.

So, now the definition is know why a sequester?   Apparently, the Administration cannot agree on the meaning of the word, or the Administration does and wants to hide “things” from the American people.  I thought this Administration was supposed to be transparent; unlike that other guy, you know the guy who lost the presidential race.    The government reduction of $85 Billion is a lot of money, but when one compares the dollar amount against Trillions of dollars, a few billion is chump change.  The Obama Administration wants to isolate the cuts into a Hollywood drama; a drama that is not needed.  Hidden from the public view is the government waste and expenditures on useless items; such as….---you fill in the blank.

The Administration has chosen to cut, what to the American people could be signs of potential tragedy; cuts in personnel or in pay, with the first, of course, being the military, then whatever, TSA, White House janitors, and so on.

What is really hidden with this sequester is the Administration’s desire to gain more taxes and to control Congress.  Tax and spend is not the answer to the fiscal crisis of the U.S.  As mentioned many times before, sound financial management is needed, and this cannot be developed if government has an endless supply of money-----your money.
