McCreery named director of finance for Mt. Lebanon

Andrew McCreery has been appointed the new director of finance for Mt. Lebanon Municipality.  He replaces longtime assistant manager and finance director Marcia Taylor, who retired in August.

 

McCreery, a Mt. Lebanon resident, most recently served as director of finance for Jefferson Hills Borough, a position he held since February 2012. From 2006 to 2012, McCreery was accounting manager for Upper St. Clair Township.

McCreery earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2003 with a major in philosophy, politics and economics and a concentration in economics. He received his certificate in accounting from the University of Pittsburgh in 2008 and became a certified public accountant in 2011.

He serves on the board of the west chapter of the Government Finance Officers Association of Pennsylvania, of which he is a member, and also is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

 

McCreery will begin work on September 9.
