The Dormont Athletic Boosters Association (DABA) has been serving the community of Dormont and children in the KO School District since 1949.   The primary function of this organization is to act as a fundraising organization that oversees extracurricular activities for children 18 and under.   We are made up of volunteers who strive to provide every child the opportunity to participate in one of the sports or activity we sponsor. 

Currently the members are made up of two classes, Active Members and Honorary Members.  Active Members are required to participate in our fundraisers through the year, attend meetings and can vote on issues. 

Honorary Members are individuals who have spent 10 years as an active member and are not required to be as involved as an Active Member. 

This year, in an effort to increase the number of DABA Members, we are introducing a new class of Booster called an Associate Booster.  While we have not fully defined this position, the Associate Booster will be a volunteer who can lend us support, at their convenience, throughout the year, without making the same level of commitment as an Active Member.  They will be able to attend meetings and provide feedback but will not be able to vote on any issues.

If you are interested in becoming a Booster, Active or Associate, or want to learn more about the organization, we will be holding an open meeting on Thursday, January 10^th at 7 PM at the Dormont Elementary School cafeteria. 

You do not have to live in Dormont to be a Booster, having a child participate in one of our activities qualifies you to be a member.
