Meet Peanut.
Volunteers at Animal Rescue League said Peanut has been doing very well in his foster home.
However, he still can be apprehensive around new people and will hide under the bed until he is comfortable.
He is easily coaxed out from under the bed with a calm, loving voice and a good scratching on his cheeks and under his chin.
Peanut is a very affectionate cat, but he definitely needs to be in a one-cat household. He has lived with a Labrador Retriever in the past, but would probably prefer to be alone.
