February is kindergarten registration month in the Keystone Oaks School District, and if your little one is ready to start his or her academic career, here's what you need to know!

Dormont Elementary School

• Dormont’s registration will be Tuesday, Feb. 19 and Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. at the elementary school. An additional kindergarten registration window will be available to Dormont residents from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20. No appointment is necessary to register.

Fred. L. Aiken Elementary School

• Aiken’s registration will be held Tuesday, Feb. 12 and Wednesday, Feb. 13, from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. at the elementary school. An additional kindergarten registration window will be available to Green Tree residents from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12. No appointment is necessary to register.

Myrtle Avenue Elementary School

• Myrtle’s registration will be held Tuesday, Feb. 26 and Wednesday, Feb. 27 from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. at the elementary school. An additional kindergarten registration window will be available to Castle Shannon residents from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27. No appointment is necessary to register.

To register, parents or guardians should bring their child's health, dental and immunization records, as well as the child's proof of age. Parents or guardians of newly enrolled students will also be asked to produce two proofs of residency.
