"My Grandmother"
((( A Thanksgiving Tribute )))
My grandmother was a wonderful person
Who I will never,ever forget
Yes I loved her so very much
And I still miss her even yet
I miss the times she'd come over to visit
And we'd always play her favorite game "poker"
And I'd always find a way to make her laugh
And in turn she would call me "the joker"
And I miss the times she would babysit for Mom
And buy us every single snack in the book
Yes "Potato Chips", "Ice Cream", and "Candy"
And late at night she would even cook
And I miss the times we'd stay up until two
And watch the late "Chiller Theater Show"
And we'd all fall asleep on the couch
Until it was time to go
And I miss the times she'd come over for the holidays
And just sit right down in my place
Because she knew I was gonna come over
And give her a kiss on her cute little face
My grandmother's not here anymore
For she's since gone up to heaven
And grandma if you happen to be reading this
I sure miss you a million times seven
I love you
Your grandson
