VIDEO: Two Arrested for Dormont Shooting
Dormont, Brookline men arrested for firing shots at R Bar early Thursday morning.
Two men were arrested early Thursday morning after firing several shots a R Bar in Dormont.
Anthony Nania, 21, of Dormont, and Charles Friedel, 21, of Brookline were accused of firing the shots and were held at Dormont police station overnight. Charges against them are pending.
Dormont police responded to the West Liberty Avenue bar at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday for a call about a fight between the two men and a bar tender. Police Sgt. Ralf Zawischa said the two men had left the scene by the time police arrived.
The men returned at 12:10 p.m., Zawischa said. One of the men, standing outside the bar on West Liberty Avenue, fired shots at the door of the bar. It is not yet known whether it was Nania or Friedel who fired the shots.
A woman also is being questioned by police.
