Video: Cranberry CUP Celebrates Giving
The Cranberry community comes together during the weekend's annual softball tournament to help the family of a Keystone Oaks teacher.
During Saturday's opening ceremony for the Cranberry CUP softball tournament, players, a cheer squad, relatives, friends, neighbors, and politicians joined the crowd to support the O'Donnell family of Cranberry.
A social studies teacher in the Keystone Oaks School District and a father of four, Shawn O’Donnell was diagnosed with colon and liver cancer last May.
This year's CUP tournament benefitted him and his family.
Cranberry CUP, which stands for Community Uniting People, raises money to support local families in need. The annual softball tournament—in which different neighborhoods compete against each other to win the coveted Cranberry CUP trophy—is the nonprofit’s signature fundraiser.
On Saturday, members of the O'Donnell family received a standing ovation as they arrived at Cranberry Community Park on a township fire truck.
The games were played throughout the weekend at Community Park and Graham Park.
The Pinehurst neighborhood took home this year's CUP trophy.

OD we miss you more than you would imagine at school. Not a day goes by when I don't walk by your room and do a double take to see if your are there. That said you are always a part of KO because of how much heart and soul you put into the school. The Cranberry Cup was an amazing event that not only gave much needed help to you and your family, it inspired all who were in attendance. Love you
