Vera Bradley Store Opening in South Hills Village

The popular accessory brand will open in the spring.

Vera Bradley is coming to South Hills Village.

The store known for its quilted handbags will open in the spring on the lower level south wing.

The store will also feature luggage, totes, and desk and cell phone accessories.

Also coming to South Hills Village this year, Bonefish Grill opens on Jan. 14 and Target opens on March 10.

“It is so exciting to begin the new year with the opening of these new shopping and dining attractions for the South Hills community,” stated Jennifer Carroll, South Hills Village marketing director. “These new retailers will be key destinations for our customers and are just the first in 2013 to be added to the already-impressive list of shops and eateries at South Hills Village.”

Vera Bradley opening a store hurts the other businesses that rely on that line for their store sales- there are a few. What is Simon (mall owner) thinking? Audrey's now has three spaces in that mall and spent a LOT of money updating one store specifically for Vera products just months ago. Audrey's (and Specialty Luggage) has been loyal to that mall for many years and I for one will only buy Vera products from them. I hope others do as well.

I'm thinking that Simon is in the business of running a mall and doesn't worry about which stores are pushing ugly overpriced handbags.

Who the heck buys these things?!?
