Thai Spoon One of America's Most Popular New Restaurants of 2012

The Dormont restaurant made Urban Spoon's list of the country's most popular new restaurants.

Dormont's Thai Spoon and three other Pittsburgh-area restaurants have been named to Urban Spoon's list of America's Most Popular New Restaurants of 2012.

Thai Spoon opened last winter on Potomac Avenue, and is open Tuesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner. It has more than 30 overwhelmingly favorable reviews on Urban Spoon.

The restaurant specializes in classic Thai food, and also offers vegetarian and gluten-free dishes. It is BYOB and—for you internet-savvy folks—offers free Wi-Fi.

Other local restaurants recognized include Bluebird Kitchen in Downtown Pittsburgh, YinzBurgh BBQ in Bloomfield and Cafe Delhi in Carnegie.
