Seton Center Extends Hours Due to Heat

Several centers in the area will be open for longer hours.

The area has seen some rain lately, but it hasn't been enough to cool off the sweltering summer temperatures. Several Pittsburgh-area senior centers have extended their hours to give people a chance to cool down.

Nearest to the areas of Dormont and Brookline is the Seton Center, which will be open July 17 and 18 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Seton Center is at 1900 Pioneer Avenue in Brookline, and the phone number is 412-344-4777.

All county residents ages 60 and older are welcome to visit any of the county-funded senior centers during regular hours of operation to socialize and enjoy activities while taking refuge from the heat.
