Ross to Retire This Year

Dormont Police Chief Phil Ross plans to retire this year.

 

Dormont Police Chief Phil Ross plans to retire this year.

Dormont Council President Bill McCartney made the announcement at Monday evening's council meeting.

Ross said his retirement date has not been set yet, but that he expects to retire on or around Jan. 1.

More information will be released at a later date, Ross said.

He was a good sergeant but I think Dormont is badly in need of a new chief. I hope the borough can win the lawsuit.

Don't even start this again....Gino is gone for a reason... What the past council did to Phil was wrong on so many levels...Went against his civil liberties and do even start me on his union rights, being violated...So I say Phil get as much as you can...Have Dormont renamed Rossville and enjoy the golf course...It has been a pleasure knowing you
