Ravenstahl Ends Speculation, Will Not Run Again for Mayor
Pittsburgh's youngest mayor cites 'nasty and vicious' allegations against him as reason for decision.

Citing the "many nasty and vicious allegations" against him as the driving force, Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl has decided not to seek re-election to another term.
After nearly 24 hours of speculation, Ravenstahl, 33, said he gave careful consideration to the decision to pull out of the May 21 primary, according to WPXI-TV, which reports he made the decision with a "clear mind and without reservation."
He will serve out the remaining 10 months of his term during an FBI investigation of the Pittsburgh Police Bureau that led him to ask police Chief Nate Harper to resign last month. The mayor has publicly said he isn't a target of the federal investigation, according to WTAE-TV.
WTAE-TV also reports that Ravenstahl's decision leaves city Councilman Bill Peduto and city Controller Michael Lamb in a two-person race for the Democratic mayoral nomination in the May primary.

Good Job Luke! Now you see 10yrs ago your friends on council tossed you to the wolves cause you had less baggage now look they ask for you to remove your self from office. Spend the rest of your time looking into the personal lives of your constituents . Then go public! I think a run for Senate buddy! At his age as mayor good job!
