The scam artists targeted the Eat’n Park restaurant in Kirwan Heights and stole $100.
A pair of “quick change” scam artists targeted the Eat’n Park restaurant in Kirwan Heights last week and apparently have hit several other places along the Interstate 79 corridor.
Collier police said two black men, one in his 60s and the other in his early 50s, went to the restaurant near the former Kirwan Heights interstate exit on Aug. 2 and stole about $100.
Police said one man spoke to restaurant workers while the other was able to take money from the cash register. Investigators did not elaborate on how the scam worked.
Police said the one man was about 5-foot, 5-inches tall and weighed about 160 pounds. The other man was wearing a white fedora hat during the heist. Police said they left the restaurant driving a green Jeep sport-utility vehicle.
Eat’n Park officials did not return a phone message seeking information on the heists.
Anyone with information about the thefts after asked to call the Collier Township Police Department at 412-276-5051.
