REMINDER: Public Meeting Tonight on #1 Cochran Discussions
A public, informational meeting regarding #1 Cochran’s proposed business plan in Dormont will be held today, Aug. 15.
An informational meeting will be held today, Wednesday, Aug. 15, to make public the discussions Dormont Council and committee members have had regarding options for the West Liberty Avenue business plan proposed by #1 Cochran.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in Dormont Municipal Center on Hillsdale Avenue.
Council President Bill McCartney said three or four alternatives to #1 Cochran’s plan have been developed—one of which is for the borough to do nothing, and maintain the current situation.
Details about each option can be found by clicking here.
Representatives from #1 Cochran presented the automotive company’s proposed business plan in February. An outline of #1 Cochran’s proposed plan is attached to this article.
Each alternative plan will be presented on Aug. 15, and McCartney said there would be time for public comments after each presentation. He said comments also could be submitted to the borough in writing.

I really hope the council really listens to the business and not go about their own agendas. This would really hurt all the business in the 3200 block and to even consider it is a shame on so many levels.
