Man Arrested After Police Chase In Dormont

Police caught up with the man on Pioneer Avenue.

A man with two outstanding warrants was arrested after leading Dormont police officers on a foot chase through two neighborhoods.

Officers on patrol in the 2900 block of West Liberty Avenue at 4:25 p.m. spotted Robert Felton Jr., who police said had two outstanding warrants for arrest.

According to the police report, Felton fled the area on foot, and officers chased him through traffic and between several homes in the neighborhood near Tennessee Avenue before he was caught in the back yard of a home in the 3100 block of Pioneer Avenue.

Felton, 19, of Pittsburgh, is being held in Allegheny County Jail on charges of recklessly endangering another person and resisting arrest, as well as charges of burglary and theft stemming from a September incident.

!!! Kudos For Dormont Police !!!

Everytime you turn around
They're catching somebody in the act
And that's because they do their job
And that is a well-known-fact

I've lived there for many years
And I've always felt safe with them
And it didn't matter the place or street
Or who,what,where,or when!

They had always captured their man
And there was no two ways about it
And I mean that with all of my heart
And if you want me to,I'll shout it!

Thank You Dormont Police
For years of excellent service
For with you always watching the town
"Nobody has to be nervous"

I agree entirely! Our police force is a wonderful blessing to this community. They're a fine group of officers that are worthy of praise! Hey looks like Bill Nardozi is a poet and don't know-it :)
