KO Band Receives Trophy for Parade Performance

The Keystone Oaks Marching Band was awarded for its performance in the Veterans Day parade in Downtown Pittsburgh.

 

The Keystone Oaks Golden Eagle Marching Band has received an award for its Nov. 10 performance in the Veterans Day Parade in Downtown Pittsburgh.

The band received a trophy for Best Three Star Band at a ceremony held at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum in Oakland on Nov. 18.

The competitive parade is organized by the Federation of War Veterans' Societies Inc. of Allegheny County, and was judges by members of the Great Lakes Judges Association.

Drum Major Kiara Kennelly and her family joined Keystone Oaks music teacher Bill Eibeck at the ceremony to accept the award on behalf of the entire band.
