1. Light Up Night Weekend  
Where/When: Downtown Pittsburgh, 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday and noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: The 51st Duquesne Light Light Up Night will kick off this Friday in Point State Park with a Santa Spectacular! The evening will be capped off by lighting of the Legendary 80′ Duquesne Light Tree, followed by the Macy’s Fireworks to Music Finale! Stroll through the city side of Point State Park after 5 p.m. and enjoy treats and activities for kids of all ages! Saturday night will begin with concerts in Market Square beginning at noon. Other activities include a skating performance at the Rink at PPG, pictures with Sugar Plum Fairies at 5th Ave. and a horse drawn candlelight carriage parade. 2. Angelsilks with Colleen Miles
Where?/When?: Sterling Yoga, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday

4. Introduction to Contact Staff with Phoenix
Where?/When?: Sterling Yoga, 2 to 3 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: This one-hour workshop will cover planes, figure eight spins and basic contact moves. All levels welcome, additional staffs will be available for use during class.

5. 3rd Annual Mt. Lebanon Junior Women’s Club Holiday Market
Where?/When?: Mt. Lebanon United Lutheran Church, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go?: This holiday shopping event features local artists, vendors and a homemade bake sale.  Plus, the canned food drive will benefit the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.

6. Indoor Flea Market
Where?/When?: Trax Farms, 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday
Why Go?: Trax Farms flea market will feature antiques, gifts, collectibles, clothing and more. There will be free parking and free admission.

7. National Geographic Little Explorers Club
Where/When: Pottery Barn at the Galleria, Saturday, 10 a.m.
Why Go?: The National Geographic Little Explorers Club is coming to Pottery Barn at the Galleria in Mount Lebanon. This week, the club will focus on all things Polar Bears! Children, ages 3 and up, will learn all about these creatures through hands-on activities, songs and more! Children will receive a badge for each event they attend. Call 412-344-1615 to register.

8. Charlie Brown Thanksgiving
Where?/When?: St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, noon on Sunday
Why Go?: Come celebrate Thanksgiving at this Charlie Brown Thanksgiving event held in Miesel hall. There will be lunch, activities and the movie!

9. Fundraiser for Bethel Park Burned Veteran
Where?/When?: John McMillan Presbyterian Church, 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go?: A Bethel Park veteran needs your help! Mike Trout has served our country for over 31 years.  Mike was a Master Sergeant in the US Marines.  He survived all sorts of hazardous and critical situations while in the Marine Corps. Mike was awarded the Bronze Star for his valor in combat. Now Mike needs your help!  Mike was critically burned in an unfortunate explosion in his house on June 29, 2011. Mike is now fully disabled due to injuries he received in the explosion and is unable to work. Mike has no local family so his close friends have organized this spaghetti dinner benefit to help him return to a normal life in his home. 10. Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra Free Concert
Where?/When?: Heinz Hall, 7:30 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go?: In the shadow of their successful tour of Italy last summer, the young musicians of the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra now look to Germany and Russia for musical inspiration. Music Director Lawrence Loh will lead the 95-member Orchestra in the most recognizable symphony ever written, Beethoven's Symphony No. 5. Shakespeare's famous characters will come to life in the Romeo & Juliet Fantasy Overture by Tchaikovsky. PSO Associate Conductor Thomas Hong will conduct the rousing opener Ruslan & Ludmilla by Glinka. Now in it's 65th season, PYSO continues its tradition of presenting free concerts at Heinz Hall.
