End of the Route for Brookline Senior 'Red Bus'?
Residents are encouraged to attend a public meeting tonight to discuss options for saving the senior citizens transit system.

The Brookline Christian Ministerium is holding a public meeting today, Tuesday, to discuss the fate of Brookline Senior Transit.
The ministerium is encouraging residents to attend and discuss ways to save the "red bus" that has provided local transportation to Brookline senior citizens for decades.
Discussion topics include who uses the transit program and why, how often the bus runs its routes, where it goes and how to fund the program. Ideas for improving and maintaining the program are welcome.
St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brookline has sponsored the mini bus for about 30 years. In January, a committee was planning to make improvements to the transit program, but funding issues have now put the program on hold.
