Dormont Police Investigating Thefts

Dormont police blotter, Oct. 5 to Oct. 12.

 

Dormont police are investigating two thefts that occurred in the borough last week.

On Oct. 10, a resident of the 1600 block of McFarland Road told police a ring and about $700 in cash had been stolen from the home.

The next day, on Oct. 11, a woman working at #1 Cochran reported that at some point during the day, her purse was stolen from her vehicle, which was parked near the Hyundai dealership on West Liberty Avenue.

No arrests have been made in either case. There is no indication that the two thefts are related.
