Door Stolen From Beechview Car

Brookline police blotter, Aug. 13 to Aug. 19.

Typically, the items stolen from vehicles are small—things like phones, iPods or a wallet. But a theft from vehicle incident in Beechview this week was a bit different.

The door of a vehicle was stolen Sunday, according to a report from Pittsburgh police.

The car was parked near Ringwalt Street and Curranhill Avenue in Beechview when the incident occurred between midnight and 7 p.m. No arrests have been made.

Also in the blotter:

Criminal Mischief

  • The tires of a vehicle parked in the 1900 block of Woodward Avenue were slashed on Aug. 16 between midnight and noon.

  • Joseph Rogers of Brookline was arrested for DUI at the intersection of Brookline Boulevard and Pioneer Avenue on Aug. 13.
  • Daniel Donahue of Dormont was arrested for possession with the intent to deliver marijuana, and Nebojsa Nedic of Baldwin was arrested for possession of marijuana. The arrests occurred near the intersection of Wenzell Avenue and Banksville Road on Aug. 18.

This information was supplied by Pittsburgh Police, and is a report for crimes and arrests in Zone 6. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. A map of the Zone 6 area can be found here.

It is. Makes it that much more difficult to catch the person.

I cannot tell from the picture on the CBS site if the car is really gray or another color. The reason I question the color is there has been a door lying down near the end of Banksville "Avenue" (between the dialysis center and the medical center) since this story aired but the door is a bluish-green, not gray. This street parallels Banksville Road.
