Birthday Celebration for Fred Rogers, Tonight at Hollywood Theater
Hollywood Theater will hold a special event Friday evening in honor of Fred Rogers’ birthday.
Dormont’s Hollywood Theater will hold a special event this evening to celebrate the birthday of one of television’s most beloved children’s show hosts: Mister Rogers.
Fred Rogers, who died in 2003, would have been 84.
Friday’s event includes a showing of “Speedy Delivery,” a documentary featuring David Newell (Mr. McFeely) that traces the continuing importance of “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” and the legacy of Fred Rogers.
Newell, a Green Tree native, will be at the theater for discussion and autograph signing.
Those who attend are asked to bring a sweater to donate to the Mister Rogers Neighborhood Sweater Drive.
