Car Crashes Into Radio Shack at Banksville Plaza

The Chrysler Cirrus was driven by an elderly lady.

A gold Chrysler Cirrus driven by an elderly woman crashed into the Radio Shack at Banksville Plaza shortly before 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

Gerry Barilla, of Dormont, said the crash happened just as she was walking by on her way to Kuhn's from Subway.

"God was looking out for me. I was just walking and, it was: Boom! It was a half-inch behind me," Barilla said.

City police were not able to immediately provide information, but the woman driving the car was seen walking to an ambulance. Radio Shack employees declined comment.

Dormont and Pittsburgh police and city firefighters and paramedics responded.
